1. Record breaking Virat Kohli:
Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan team, scored his ninth century in Test cricket and surpassed India’s legendary player Virat Kohli in the run scoring average. Babar Azam’s average of 54.93 runs has been recorded while Kohli has scored runs at an average of 48.91 in Test cricket.
2. Record breaking Joe Root:
Captain Babar Azam has become the first player to score +1100 runs in the Test cricket format in this season, second is the England player Joe Root, who has scored 1098 runs.
3. Record breaking Ricky Ponting:
Babar Azam also took the record of Australian player Ricky Ponting for making the most 50 plus runs in a year. The captain with Australia won the honor by scoring 24 half-centuries in 2005 and ruled this honor for 17 years.

4. Record breaking Muhammad Yousuf:
In the Karachi Test, he took away the record of Muhammad Yousuf, he has become the Pakistani player who scored the most runs in international cricket. This record was ruled by Muhammad Yousuf. He had scored 2435 international runs during the year 2006 but Babar’s has also taken this record.
