The schedule of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League has been finalized, while its formal announcement is expected by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Friday. Sources say that PSL will start from February 13 while the final will be played on March 19 in Lahore.
The opening ceremony is still hosted by Multan, the program remains unchanged for now. The tournament will be played at 4 venues, the host cities include Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan.
An exhibition match before PSL is also likely to be played in Quetta, in which Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators may compete.
Peshawar Zalmi strongly demanded to hold some PSL matches in Peshawar this time, which was also supported by other franchises, but it is difficult to hold matches in Peshawar in this edition. Similarly, only one exhibition match is being planned to be played in Quetta. PCB will make the final announcement.

The PSL will be held for the first time after the return of Najam Sethi to the Pakistan Cricket Board, so the head of the management committee of the board wants to organize the event in a grand manner this time and is quite determined for it.
Local players and fans are eagerly waiting for this tournament. Lahore Qalandars will take the field as the defending champions this time, the team will be led by young pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi who has started practice after recovering from fitness issues and is confident and fit for his return to PSL.
