For some days, there was a heated discussion on social media and the former cricketer’s side for not selecting Fawad Alam in the team. Former captain Shahid Afridi also expressed his disappointment on dropping Fawad.
Why Fawad Alam drop in the test team? The Chief Selector explained:
During an interview in a private TV program, Chief Selector Pakistan Cricket Board said that Fawad Alam was not included in the Test team due to his performance. There is no doubt that Fawad is a fighter and he has shown good performances for Pakistan whenever he got an opportunity. But his performance from last 3 series is not good at all. Only one of these 3 series has a half-century.
He added that the England team now has the ability to play well in Test cricket as well. Pakistan has to follow the plan and game plan to win the series.
